I have a Radio Shack 22-805 autoranging multimeter with PC interface.
I'm pretty sure it's a rebadged Metex ME-11. Looking at Sears.com,
they sell what looks like the same meter as the 9-82324, so I can
guess that they get at least some of their meters from Metex. If your
meter has a little "bar graph" display under the digits, and the far
right element is an arrow with the letter M in it, it's probably a
Metex. Metex is at http://www.metex.co.kr/ ; they don't seem to have
any software download links but they do have some contact information.
Also, Radio Shack has at least two other PC interface meters, the 22-182
and 22-168A. Radio Shack is pretty good about supporting their stuff;
you might see if you can download the disks for those meters from their
Web site and try them with your meter. There seems to be only a couple
of similar protocols that these meters use.
I hope this helps!

This is the PC Interface Autoranging Multimeter, model 83234.
I will sell you my program for $10.
I am a technician and use it daily in my work. I wrote it for a Protek meter,
but later bought another meter from Sears and the program will run with either
meter.
The baud rate has to be changed and you have to know the com port that you are
using.
It automatically generates a file name,
asks for an ID comment, then when you
hit Enter it stores the comment and meter reading to disk.
If you enter 1 as the comment, it will start an automatic numbering, for
example if you are reading a multi pin IC.
After the reading is completed, I use a word processor to view the data, make
comments. Like where is VCC etc.
It all depends on what you want to do with the meter.

Well we have a complete arsehole here, or could I be mistaken ? posting
a file of over 500K in size to a non binary newsgroup, even in
preference to emailing it direct ! This is the fastest way to loose an
ISP account that I know.

I don't think you'd lose your account, just a lot of friends.
My user agreement (and I doubt many others) says nothing about poor
netiquette being grounds for service termination.
