For sale on eBay: Hewlett Packard HP-71B computer / calculator

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1204649537

Hewlett Packard HP-71B computer / calculator
The HP-71 was a small handheld computer/calculator
featuring both QWERTY and calculator/numeric keypads.
It was the first handheld to implement the (then
proposed) IEEE floating point math standard which
included such concepts as infinities and non-numbers,
and was HP's first calculator to use the "Saturn"
processor which is in the latest high end HP calculators.
It was produced from Feb 1984 to Nov 1988, and is
considered by many to be the best of the Hewlet Packard
BASIC language computer/calculators.

You get the computer/calculator, RAM expansion, magnetic
strip reader with lots of software on strips, HP-IB
(IEEE488) interface, an RS232 interface so you can talk
to a PC, and the rare video output adapter with RCA
outputs for RF to a TV set or NTSC video to a composite
monitor. You also get four of the hard to find GPIO
(General Purpose I/O interfaces - just the thing for
controlling the world! See full hardware/software list
below. While the 71B is fairly easy to find, finding
one with all of these options and accessories is
considerably harder.

Condition is very good, but not mint, meaning that it looks new
sitting on the table but if you look really close you can see a
few tiny scratches that tell you that it's used. I put in
batteries, ran the diagnostics, did a few calculations, etc.
and everything seems to work fine. The fellow I got it from
said everything worked fine lastbtime he used it.

If for any reason you don't like what you receive, I will take
it back and refund the price minus ebay's cut and shipping
charges both ways. I have a good feedback history as a buyer,
but this is my first sale, so I am motivated to do whatever it
takes to get good feedback; email or call me if there is a
problem and I promise to make it right.
