Apologies if you were already aware of it. Occasionally one stumbles
across these gems. It was new to me.

Expect the usual Bill Sloman denialism.
Graham
Graham - despite his genius-level IQ - doesn't seem to appreciate that
his "gems" tend to be funded by Exxon-Mobil.
"The Science and Public PolicyInstitute (SPPI), part of Frontiers of
Freedom, a conservative organization funded by
ExxonMobil that has campaigned against the screening of An
Inconvenient Truth in U.S. schools.
Its web site is: http://www.scienceandpolicy.org/"
from
http://www.kftc.org/our-work/canary-project/campaigns/global-warming/PROFILES%203.pdf
One could go through the rubbish presented, but the serious web-
searching required has already been done - if not by Eeyore, who -
despite his scientific triumphs at secondary, doesn't understand much
about science for grown-ups.
But then he doesn't have to worry about doing real work anymore - his
friend from Nigeria is going to make him very rich, real soon now.

No, no, you've got it all wrong - WE are the "denialists" - Bill remains
a True Believer.
(albeit, the True Believers are pretty deeply embedded in denial of
the facts, or maybe Science itself!)
Cheers!

So you believe them rather than the site itself ?
"The Science and Public Policy Institute (SPPI) is a nonprofit institute of research and
education dedicated to sound public policy based on sound science. Free from affiliation to any
corporation or political party, we support the advancement of sensible public policies for energy
and the environment rooted in rational science and economics. Only through science and factual
information, separating reality from rhetoric, can legislators develop beneficial policies
without unintended consequences that might threaten the life, liberty, and prosperity of the
citizenry.
Though some say anthropogenic "global warming" is the most serious issue facing humankind,
security of energy supply is a far more serious problem, since the fossil fuels that cause
"global warming" may soon be exhausted. The Institute urges critical appraisal of legislative
“climate fixes” for their social, political, and economic and security costs, along with their
relative utility or futility.
Proposals demanding prodigious economic or political sacrifices for the sake of negligible
climatic benefits should be rejected in favor of policies to address graver, more immediate
concerns about which something constructive can actually be done.
SPPI meets its educational objectives through timely online publication of white papers,
peer-reviewed reprints, personal briefings, PowerPoint presentations, blog entries, news stories
and other educational materials containing editorials on topics of current concern and digests of
recently published peer-reviewed scientific journal articles and books."
Graham
To be brief. Yes.
The fact that your second URL
http://scienceandpublicpolicy.org/press/proved_no_climate_crisis.html
opens with a piece that deceptively puffs Christopher Monckton's
"presentation" to the American Physical Society
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Monckton%2C_3rd_Viscount_Monckton_of_Brenchley
tells me exactly what their business is.

No mention of motherhood nor apple pie? Nor of their Exxon-Mobil
funding.
Sucker.

And what are "the facts" that I'm denying?

That the world's COOLING.
Graham
A claim by fiat from you? That's merely ignorable. Doesn't rate as
denial.
Jon
Of course, as normal, it cools during a La Nina.
- Don Klipstein (d...@misty.com)
I f you will look at your favorite set of data, you will notice that
the Earth cools every decade or so for a few years, berfore returning
to the long-term warming trend.
Which reverses itself every 75,000 years or so...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_age
And if you'll note the graph, the temperature is on the decline about now.
Hope This Helps!
