Hi, I use ORCAD SDT 386 for DOS on my windows PC. I used an old S3 Trio AGP
card for years in this system, sure that any newer video cards would not allow
SDT to work in any high resolution mode.

Well I just bought a Best Data GeoForce 2 MX 400 card and installed it. Guess
what, the vesa 800 and vesa 1024 modes in Orcad SDT work just fine. This card
has increased the speed of my system enough that the mouse clicks in SDT seem
to work just fine, before sometimes there was a noticeable delay.

There is a rebate on this card now, and from Fry's with the rebate, it only
cost $39.

I don't know if the card would work for Orcad PCB, but it prob. would.

Anyway, there is hope to keep using my favorite schematic program for another 5
years!

I hope this does someone some good.

Just a comment: Make sure it's a Mach-32, not a mach-64.

For some reason, the -64 doesn't work.

Peter, you have a fine opinion there, but the Geoforce 2 runs Vesa 800 and 1024
modes like I said. I agree 1024 is as high a resolution as useful with SDT, and
even admit to running it in 800 mode. The Geoforce plays well being Nvida
based, runs Windows cad software fast and clear, Is an AGP card, and is not a
dinosaur.
