Since we alredy have Bardstation on HP we took a short look at
IntegraStaion on NT. Since IntegraStation is not a repalcement
for BoardStation, we look at it as a complement.
IN short Integrastation is more suitable for
designs that are medium complexity, use a lot of ananlog or HF
design. Could be good at fast prototyping, and for us to
use it in conjunction with Unix BoardStation.
We dont feel it is sutable right now for our need for High
Speed deisgn, and very complex design environment that we have,
where we push at the limits of the pcb tool.
Personal Architect (the design entry part of MEntor for PC)
is not yet as powerfull as the Design Architect on Unix.
At the end we decided to wait another year to see the
migration of Design Architect from Unix to PC for the
design entry and the migration of the Board station
from Unix to PC. IF Mentor will not be capable of doing
this transition, then we will look for other products.
Hope this helps
