I use 3% h2o2 to disinfect my contact lenses
and sometimes after I use h2o2 I get these
white marks on my fingers and a burning
sensation, I try to rinse it off but
it still keeps burning, but eventually
it goes away along with the white marks.
Just plain pure 3% h2o2 doesn't bother me
on the skin.
I was thinking that perhaps if the h2o2
gets mixed in with soap that this makes
something else?
What's going on?

3% peroxide can be used as mouthwash with no big problem.
The 35% stuff we use in the lab will burn your skin very quickly.
It doesn't require any other agent, like the soap, to do this.
