I'm looking for a good thermodynamics package. The primary use will be
aqueous chemistry particularly CO2 saturated brine solutions at high
pressure and moderate temperature. But we are also interested in flue
gas chemistry.

We currently have Thermo-Calc which is used for metal alloy design. We
only have data bases for this use. The people who use it for this are
very pleased and customer support is great. Also we already have a
site license so all I would need is the additional data bases.
However, my impression is that this package is not as good at aqueous
and gas phase chemistry.

We also have HSC. I use this a lot but I believe the package isn't
sophisticated enough to deal with the concentrated gas/liquid/solid
and gas/solid reactions we are interested in.

There is also FactSage. I know one person that uses this for Coal
combustion work similar to some of what we want to do. However, I know
very little about the cost or capabilities of factSage.

Others ???

Thanks
Steve Gerdemann
