I have an old lava lamp from the late 60's -early 70's - DON'T LAUGH,
IT'S AN HEIRLOOM!

The problem I need you chemist types to chew on - is - what's the
chemical in the lamp?

This has been a long-standing discussion among us non-tech types.

I'd like to replace the chemical in my lamp as it has become cloudy and
just can find the information anywhere!

A kuipie doll to the first right answer.

TIA - Bill.

I have <not> researched this, but I think the clear liquid is water and
the 'lava' is parafin wax.
