Dear All,

I was going through an MSc thesis where I read that the chlorination
of carboxylic acid was possible in the presence of SOCl2 under
anhydrous conditions. The reaction will replace the OH group with Cl
group. I was wondering whether it was feasable for phosphoric acid as
well? If anyone has the knowledge of such an idea, then please share
it with me.

Regards,

Naveed.
