COMPLETE TEXT OF THE 19TH INTERNATIONAL POWER SOURCES
SYMPOSIUM LEAFLET (Brighton, England. 24th-26th April 1995)

The following is the complete text of the POWER SOURCES 1995
leaflet. I believe it includes as much detail as is currently
available including the complete programme of papers, booking
form and administrative details.

There are significant discounts if you register by February 24th.

This text was generated by scanning the official leaflet and
running OCR software on the images. I have tried to remove
any errors generated in the process and have chacked
addresses, telephone numbers and prices at least once. I can
not guarantee that this document is 100% accurate copy of the
leaflet but it is very close.

ALL PRICES ARE IN POUNDS STERLING.

I encourage anyone with an interest in batteries or fuel cells
to attend. I personally have not missed one since I discovered the
Symposium ten years ago.

Please forward your enquiries to the Symposium Secretary as
described in the text.

POWER SOURCES 1995 - 19th International Power Sources
Symposium, The Brighton Thistle Hotel, Brighton, England.
24th to 26th April 1995

Bringing Together Battery Technology Worldwide

Scope of the Symposium.

Unique in Europe, the 1995 Symposium will feature current
research and advances throughout the rapidly changing and
important field of battery technology and fuel cells.

Technical content.

During the three days of the Symposium the presentation of 37
papers is planned, conveniently grouped into sessions that
will cover conventional batteries, primary and secondary
systems using liquid, polymeric and molten-salt electrolytes,
solid polymer fuel cells, thermoelectric power generation and
safety considerations of lithium batteries.

Bourner Lecture.

In memory of our late Secretary, Sheila Bourner, a keynote
lecture entitled, "Electric and Hybrid Vehicies" will be given
on Tuesday morning, 25 April.

Exhibition.

As an additional attraction, the Symposium is hosting an
exhibition that will display the products of many of the
leading European firms engaged in the development, manufacture
and marketing of batteries, chargers, controllers and state-
of-charge indicators.

Posters.

Adjacent to the exhibition there will be a wideranging poster
session with entries from many parts of the world. Posters
may be accepted up until 15 December 1994. To participate,
send the title and an abstract of not more than 400 words,
with your name, affiliation and Fax number to the Proceedings
Editor. (See back page for Tel / Fax number.)

Proceedings.

On arrival delegates will receive a copy of "Power Sources
15". This will be a printed, hardback volume published by the
Symposium Committee. It will contain all of the papers due to
be presented at the Symposium and an extended abstract of each
poster.

Who should attend?

Scientists, academics and students researching or developing
batteries, fuel cells or thermoelectric devices. Engineers
responsible for the selection, evaluation, safety testing and
correct usage of batteries and fuel cells. Equipment
designers wishing to become conversant with emerging
technologies and with modern concepts for the charging,
control and measurement of the state-of-health of batteries.
Manufacturers and sales persons involved witk production and
marketing of these tecknologies.

Social events.

On Tuesday evening there will be a reception and dinner for
the delegates and other guests when there will be a chance to
meet with friends and acquaintances in the convivial
atmosphere of the Brighton Thistle Hotel, Renaissance
Ballroom.
