The goal of this research is to better understand the factors that
predict which patients and which treatments are likely to result in
toxicity. The factors typically analyzed include the radiation dose
distribution, location within the body and other factors derived from
3-D images or biological assays. Statistical modeling methods will be
used to understand the relationship between treatment factors such as
dose and outcomes. Due to the inter-disciplinary nature of this
research, qualified applicants with a Ph.D., from a wide range of
backgrounds (including physics, computer science, electrical
engineering, or biomedical engineering) are encouraged to apply.
