Senior Clinical Analyst
Education & Experience Required:
•Nursing degree and Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree
preferred •Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and master’s degree in
Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration or related
area. •10-15 years in Healthcare •A minimum of 5 to 10 years of
clinical, hands on patient care experience required. A minimum of 5 to
10 years experience in leading quality improvement activities,
developing performance improvement programs, and executing change.
Previous experience working with clinical comparative data, and
clinical evidence as part of performance improvement in hospitals/
health systems. •Professional certification preferred: Certified
Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
Knowledge & Skills (COMPETENCIES) Required:
•Understanding of PI Initiatives •Improvement advisor expertise.
Expert in Performance Improvement models and terminology; advanced/
expert understanding healthcare/business processes/operations and
recommending appropriate solutions •Ability to articulate customer’s
business needs to internal stakeholders •Ability to understand
Ascension Health existing business process and provide business
solutions •Proficient in use of Microsoft Suite of products - Excel,
PowerPoint, Word, and Access. •Knowledge of basic statistical concepts
and statistical process control. •Ability to work remotely and
independently with limited leadership oversight • Specific Informatics
product knowledge to support use of data to drive prioritization
process, data mining for root causes driving worse than expected
outcomes or benchmarking to identify significant variances from top
performers. •Teamwork/collaboration •Excellent verbal and written
communication skills, to include advanced interpersonal and
communication skills •Strong analytical thinker, with problem solving
skills •Familiar with advanced statistical software, such as SPSS or
SAS.
