Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for
providing statistical support to multiple discovery/development
projects in Veterinary Medicine Research and Development. He/she will
be accountable for the design and analysis of clinical/laboratory,
process optimization, analytical and stability studies for
pharmaceuticals and biologicals and providing guidance as to data
collection and retrieval. Participation on project teams and serving
as a liaison between biometrics and other departmental groups is
required. The successful candidate will assist in the training of
scientists in experimental design, VMRD processes/procedures and
related topics. Our department is highly collaborative and colleagues
are expected to actively participate in group meetings to ensure that
a common approach is taken to handling study data. Qualifications
MINIMUM SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, ATTRIBUTES: MS in Statistics or
Animal Breeding - At least two years of experience with data handling
and statistical analysis programming in PC-SAS - Knowledge of
experimental design, mixed linear and non-linear model methodologies,
and categorical data analysis - Excellent oral and written
communication and consulting skills - Ability to critically review
scientific publications - Ability to discuss technical issues with non
statisticians
DESIRABLE SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, ATTRIBUTES: PhD in Statistics
or Animal Breeding - At least two years of experience with animal
production/veterinary medicine - Exceptional oral and written
communication skills - Experience with clinical and laboratory studies
for pharmaceutical and/or vaccine products - Experience with process
optimization studies and co-development work for pharmaceutical and/or
vaccine products - Experience with potency assay and stability work -
Knowledge of regulatory aspects of drug/vaccine development
