Research Technician – BioEngineering
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS or equivalent and 3+ years of wet lab experience.
A successful applicant must be dedicated, responsible, detail-
oriented, well-organized, and capable of working closely with graduate
students and postdocs.
Good general computer skills are required.
A successful candidate will be enthusiastic about working shifted
hours as needed based on the scientific studies underway in the lab.
The following wet lab skills are required: - Gel electrophoresis -
Experience working with samples in 96-well format - Experience working
with RNA - Ability to follow detailed protocols
Maintain an accurate, detailed, and neat lab notebook.
Participate in designing and debugging of experiments.
Develop protocols and train new lab members.
Maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
Restock lab supplies and prepare buffers.
Participate in literature search, group meetings, paper preparation;
co-authorship as appropriate.
May monitor the work of other support personnel and coordinate
laboratory safety training and procedures to ensure operational
integrity and/or compliance.
