I live in SW AZ. This year, unusually, I am pestered by very tiny insects
(they look like leaf hoppers a bit but much smaller) that come through my
screen, evidently attracted to the yellow bug bulb in my reading light.
They don't bite but land on my arms and face and irritate. Get in my eyes
and ears. They are very fast - only land for a moment, then quickly fly
off. They make it very difficult to concentrate on reading. No chance to
take a picture of one - too tiny anyway.

Solutions?

I will try spraying screen and curtain with flying bug spray this evening
before dark but I suspect it won't work.

Maybe put another layer of screen over the present screen - perhaps this
would make the holes smaller?

I could close the window but it's a ancient mobile home and they don't
close very tight, to put it mildly; I just leave them open all year
except in winter when I duct tape them shut. Also, I use an evaporative
cooler for cooling and this would greatly impair its effectiveness.

Help!

TIA

Ken
