Greetings folks, this is my first time here. I am preparing a paper
that makes a passing reference to ecosystems, and I have a problem. I
need to identify the event corresponding to the appearance of a fully
formed ecosystem. I probably need to explain that a little. As an
example, one could argue that the fully formed cell would be the
eukaryotic cell, and the corresponding event would be the formation of
the cell nucleus. I'm guessing that early ecosystems were very simple,
and over time, more elaborate ecosystems developed. Is there a
defining event for a fully formed ecosystem? Thanks for any help.
