I am a third year (as of Sept. 98) Marine Biology student who will have
internet access at home for my final year. I am looking for online journal
services which will allow single users full access to marine biology
journals outside of their academic institution.
Whilst my University does have online access for Academic press journals,
their connection is perilously slow and frequently crashes, hence the need
for access at home.
I am particularly interested in gaining online access to Marine Biology,
Marine Ecology, Conservation Biology, Biological Conservation, Trends in
Evolution and Ecology, Marine Ecology Progress Series, Evolution and Animal
Behaviour.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yours Sincerely

David Gagno

Nearly all academic journals require that you are a subscriber before
they will give you full online access to their journals (which is why
most people have to go through the library to get access). Maybe your
library can help you get the required permissions. There is some free
access to selected journals at:

http://www.biomednet.com (you have to register, but it's free)

but the range of journals doesn't cover any that you mentioned, although
they have 1 or 2 marine biology journals there.

I checked up on the homepages of the journals you mention, and the best
you can get is table of contents and perhaps abstracts - no full
articles. If anyone has information to the contrary I'd love to hear. If
you want to check yourself, you'll find the URLs listed at the site
given in my signature below.
