Alchemical elements? There may be lists of such, but they have
little to do with alchemy.

It's interesting that I was taught in grade school that the
alchemists were trying to turn lead into gold. I think my teachers
really believed it.
Now I understand why the alchemists hid their true work and wrote
about base elements. (Repression by the Church.)

We take the dross elements of our life on Earth and transform them
into "gold".

Yeah... OK... alrighty then.

She may wish to just jump ahead a few hundred (thousand?) years and learn
chemistry and astronomy.

But if she must traverse the path of a newly born soul... then she may wish
to try;

There were a lot of reputed alchemists though. Including Dr. John Dee. There
exists a coin (somewhere) that is lead on one half, gold on the other half,
and a mixture of the 2 in the middle.

That doesn't really prove anything... that can easily be done,
even in medieval times. Lead and Gold both melt at (relative)
low tempatures. Take a small flat peice of gold, coin shaped,
flat peice of lead, coin shaped. Put them in a mold, heat them
up, they will melt, and slightly mix in the middle. As long as
you dont shake the mold, it wont fully mix into a complete alloy.
Then press the coin design into it.

Alchemy was in wide practice in my part of Europe (Venice) and there were
successful alchemists and less successful. The successful survived;)
