HI Esmail:
Yes. Go to "Labels" and then "Options" and click either "name" or "short name"
As for your questions in your other post:
1. You can display any object above or below the horizon. Just use one of the
search tools to center it. Make sure you've turned local horizon off or it will
be either invisible or the sky will be the color you've chosen for the
semi-opaque horizon.
2. Displaying more stars...have you installed Tycho 2 parts one and two
(remember, you have to install these files)? If you need more, you need to get
a copy of the GSC.

Uh, yes, but what label displays depends on the catalog being displayed.
The bright star catalog shows "real names" others to not. For example:
my installation displays the Bright Star Catalog for zoom > 45 deg.
Click on Arcturus and the label displayed is "ARCTURUS 16 Alp Boo". For
zoom 10 to 45 deg, the Sky 2000 catalog is displayed and the label is
"BD+19 2777". For zoom < 10 deg, the catalog is Tycho2 and arcturus is
labled "TYC1472-01436-1" It is simply a function of the names in the
catalog. If someone knows a way around this behavior, I am eternally in
your debt.
My workaround, if I want a zoomed chart with the major stars named, is
to start with a wide zoom, label the stars with the BSC, then zoom in as
desired.

JH
Change the Bright Star Catalog field Minimum to 0 and Max to 360. The name
will stay no matter the zoom. If you choose the Short Name display option,
you'll get the alpha symbol. De-select short name to get Arcturus

Jon
Hi:
Yep...I've done this in the past when needed.
the Bright Star Catalog has the star names. Make sure the Bright Star
Catalog is checked and the field min and max are set to whatever field with
you are using. e.g. min=1 and max=360.

jon
Also, different catalogues sometimes have very slightly different positions
for the same star. When you get to really small fov's, under 10 minutes,
these differences become noticeable, and overlapping catalogues will show
the same star multiple times.

jon
