It really doesn't take much explaining for those who look out from a moving Earth. It equals the 500 year old explanation where Mars falls behind in view as the faster moving Earth overtakes our neighbour.

The observation is there for anyone who wishes to work with it so although there is a large history surrounding the motion of Mars seen from a moving Earth as it is, after all, the most accessible of planets that way, the imaging from a satellite tracking with the Earth goes into common use.
