Is there anyone here who knows if the star name Achird (alias Eta Cas) is an
Arabic name? I have also seen the name "Easter Egg Double" or "Easter Egg
Pair" mentioned. Is that a translation of "Achird"?
Btw, how is the name Achird supposed to be pronunciated in English or in the
original language (whatever it can be)? My native language is Swedish so I
have always (well, only for the last 15 years to be exact) used a Swedish
pronunciation of the star name.

This is a subject sorely lacking in amateur astronomy books, the pronunciation
of star names.

I cannot find any name for Eta Cas in Burnham's Celestial Handbook, nor William
Hinckley Allen's amazing "Star Names, Their Lore and Meaning".

The name is listed in Klepesta and Rukl's "Constellations" but not
explained. Skymap Pro says - Names: Achird, according to Becvar;
Allen says "unnamed".
Hm, it seems that noone here knows more about the name Achird than I do.
Achird, Eta Cassiopeiae, "Easter Egg Double", HR 219, HD 4614, Struve 60,
Gliese 34, and SETI STAR 4087 are all alternative terms for the same double
star. Any ideas where I can find if "Easter Egg Double" really is a
translation of the name Achird, if Achird really is a Arabic name, or how to
pronounce the name Achird in English?
Sincerely
