Not glamorous in that ghastly showbiz, ladmag-pinup sort of way - I
daresay the warped imaginations at Loaded and FHM that airbrush the
hell out of half-decent-looking women each month would rate her a bit
of a dog - but incredibly attractive, with that sheaf of blonde hair -
please don't say it's bottle! - strong,
rather-masculine-but-not-too-much face, powerful physique (thighs
muscular, yet womanly), and so very far from being a princess.
(Is it true, or am I confusing her with someone else, that she was one
of those women who was falsely diagnosed with breast cancer, and had
both breasts off, and reconstruction, only to find that the
radiographers had screwed up, and she hadn't had cancer at all?)
With royal thoughts in mind, she and Tony Robinson together reminded
me of the Noel Coward bon mot: at the Coronation in '53, he saw a
coach passing with the (impressively proportioned) Queen Salote of
Tonga inside. Someone asked who was the chap in the morning coat sat
beside her; and Coward said, "Her lunch."
(You had to be there, evidently.....)
I get very impure thoughts indeed about Carenza. My wife is mystified
when, in the evening if we're looking for something to watch, I always
seem to suggest checking on whether 'Time Team' is on over on the
Discovery Channel.
I've never heard anything about breast cancer.
(It is, five nights a week, the show going out once each on two
channels, an hour apart.)
Eat your heart out, Charlie Dimmick!

Unfortunately that's right. She was interviewed about it in the Radio
Times during breast cancer week last year, iirc.

She's certainly easy on the eyes.
I just hope you don't cheer every time she leans over to examine some
object while wearing a loose top, though! :)

Blimey - i think she looks like something they dug up. Her older
sister with the west country accent is much nicer.....

Then you probably liked the Spitfire episode - the even spoke some french in it.
I'd love to see more of the other people on the show, Jenni Butterworth and the other
one, can't remember her name, the mountainclimber. And Mick 'the dig'.
It is a pity they do not have longer historical inserts, they only use Robin to put
some history to a building, function or location. Although I can hear in his voice he
smokes he has a rather charismatic way of expressing himself.
Whenever I read books by Douglas Adams I sort of 'hear' Robins voice.
I do think Tony is a bit tiresome and repetitive - sometimes I would rather have him
go through the ordeal of trying out the events they usually leave in the hands of
Phil. Phil is the most lovable character.
On the whole the show is filled with very entertaining people, I go along with the
saying that every scientist has their own theory but I never saw what that meant
until I saw Mark in that episode where they dig dogbones in a deep hole in the
ground. Mark really wants support for his theory, I think he would deserve the title
of strawclutcher of the season....

Is she Jewish?
Most of the others are. Rather a strange thing for a programme that delves
into British history. I mean can you believe a word they say!!! Some of the
crap they have come out with has been very controversial

I would like to meet any of the Time Team crew in person really. I worked
with someone last summer who was on a Time Team Live a week into our dig in
Anglesey (she joined us in the second week of the dig). She couldn't stop
talking about it, but at least it made the time interesting...
Paul.
Such as. No doubt you have at least half a dozen examples to back your
assertion up.
No?
Quelle Surprise.

Why?
Just ignore him. He's had his head shoved up his arse for far too long -
must have methane poisoning...
This anonymous coward should just be killfiled. There's not much one
can do about ignorant bigots such as this idiot except ignore them and
leave them alone in their pathetic little twisted minds.

She looked really nice in close up when they put TT on instead of the
cricket just the other day.
Richard.
In a similar vein, I noticed on Sunday's programme that there seemed
to be rather a lot of shots of young female archaeologists bending
over to examine their finds. How much do the camera men pay for this
job?
