Listeros,
INAH has used remote sensing technology, LIDAR, GIS and thermography
at the site of El Tajin to find three new ball courts at the site,
along with a residential area dating to 1000 CE. The finds will have
to be confirmed with new archaeological excavations. This brings the
number of ball courts at El Tajin to 20. More may be discovered using
this new technology. INAH also found platforms overlooking the site in
the northern area of the site. The new technology allows
archaeologists to do work that might have taken 10 years before in far
less time.
INAH has the report here with a slide show. Click on the tiny grey
