Spirit Talk Press is a small, Indian-owned
publishing company with headquarters on the
Blackfeet Reservation in Montana. They have a
number of publications which may be of interest to
those who are teaching Indians classes.

Spirit Talk News is a newsletter which they
publish 6 times a year. If you would like a sample
copy of this newsletter, please send me your snail
mail address. The focus of the newsletter is on
Indian culture -- past, present, and future. The
current issue includes articles on Fire, Music,
and Mixed Bloods.

Indians of the Pacific States: A Winter Count of
the Indian Nations of Washington, Oregon, and
California is their latest book. It provides a
cultural-based introduction to Indian cultures, a
chronology of Indian events, a listing of tribes
in the area, and information about cultural
resources and events.

Suppressing American Indian Spirituality: A
Wintercount is a chronology of events relating to
American Indian religions.

Indian Issues is a book which discusses many of
the current issues facing Indian country. This has
been used as a text in a number of colleges and
universities.

If you would like further information about any of
these books, please let me know and I will see
that you get it.
