Can one describe its evolution
in sexual selection terminology?
Maybe you would have to break it into sub-categories
like music, decorative arts, dance, poetic nuance,
etc.....
And maybe the epicanthic fold is an example
of our body making art but its too slow if we have to
wait for the mutations so we took it upon ourselves
to speed up the process by way of
cognitive processes.
And how does my above statement
simply mangle solid scientific thinking?

Who are you trolling for?
Lots of mangled thinking here, you have to fly higher than
that to ping the science mangling radar.
Yeah, I know we are all bored, its sort of an inhibited atmosphere here at
the moment with all the invasions and diatribe.

Who knows! I can suggest for sure that the one she caught should be thrown
back. Hagfish are definitely out of season.

Geezopete! You know, I actually AGREE here big feller. Sure would be nice
if your little playmates all went home and played in their OWN backyards. I
mean REALLY, even though you did invite them over to play, it might just be
time to let them go home. Why dont you just tell them you are sorry for
making a mess out of their playgrounds and I'll bet that they (except for
your buddies Jabby and Ed of course) will go home until the next time you
have to show all of us what a strong and principled, self-sacrificing hero
you really are!
Tell you what. What you say you just use your great self control to QUIT
treating people like dirt and I'll quit rubbing your nose in the little
puddles. I know its a sacrifice, but you are up to it. You are MAN enough
to control your own actions, aren't you? Or are you just UNABLE, or do you
just not WANT to! Hmmmm. . . . . . Interesting question there big Big Guy.
Can you control your actions to something within the bounds of normal civil
society or are you just all tied up on "reaction" like that hagfish. But
then even a hagfish has a few dozen neurons, huh?
Regards

Is there a *best* definition of sexual selection?

Ok then.
I saw a picasso painting a few weeks again which the painter
actually shed a tear cuz of how he treated some of those women
he loved. He was a fascinating prolific human. He looked at women as
objects as do a great majority of men. That causes lots of pain
in lots of nations thru lots of time.
Here's somebody for you ~O to try to emulate so you can grow into an
attractive male and some discriminating female down the line
may actually select you to ~her~ advantage. Imagine!
http://www.ataturk.com/women.htm
I put good old Ataturk out there in contrast to
those Talibani types are attempting to intimidate
the girls in afghanistan now into giving up the school idea.
Great idea eh?
And the death rate is astronimically high there if you are pregnant
simply because women can only be seen by women doctors or midwives.
But now there is a logic problem here if women are not allowed to
go out of the house much less get educated as a doctor to help
the women and children survive thru reproduction.........
Thats an example of this patriarchy deal and ~o i think you would
benefit from getting an education in those areas a bit more before you
try to loop me in to your foolish loop-de-loos.
That tear on the picasso painting is one of the first pieces of
evidence
i have ever seen of picasso actually considering the women he loved
as something more than an object to use, to fill, to discard, ie. as
objects de art. Read Franc?iose Gilot's book on life with picasso.
I really like picasso, BTW, but there is alot for you to grow on
therein ~o.
Imagine yer worst nightmare...........being naked and checked for
a host of physical specifications by somebody like gertrude stein
while she smokes her big cigar and pinches and pokes you. You like
that kinda
idea? Why would a woman? And yes it does matter AFAIC......
So........
What was your point?
