Hey all,

Anybody have ideas for the group? Like what they'd want to see (both shows/movies and other content) happening at meetings?

There have already been talks of a book club, and special themed nights. I want to run Artemis, maybe 1 or 2 nights a month.

What say you?

Would one consider the teenage mutant ninja turtle as scifi? They spawn from a laboratory accident so...............if it falls under the category,we should watch tmnt 1-3 and have a pizza party!!!!!!!!!!

Yo I love the TMNT idea.  Add a bit of cheap beer to offset the pizza and that sounds like a dream come true.  Might not make it again this Saturday; moving from my apartment in North Philly to Point Breeze this weekend, but wanted to let y'all know I plan to be involved in this group.  I'll chime in with ideas when they come to me.

The Turtles are SUPER EPIC. i didn't really like the last animated film as much as the 3 live action films, though.

We probably can't watch all 3 in one sitting, but maybe we could watch one or two, and leave the last on for the week after.

Ideas I like:
-Group movie nights
-Sci-fi movie/tv show reviews and discussions.
-Fanfiction and creative writing
-As mentioned, a book club where we'd review and discuss books.
-Dan's simulated spaceship/larp-ish game idea and other sci-fi games
-Field trips to geeky sci-fi places... >.< museum exhibits and stuff...

Also, I want to propose creating a main webpage to represent "SciPhi"

I'd like to see the first one w/ pizza and beer (i can bring some beer left over from this weekend) but i hated the 2nd one and couldn't make myself see the 3rd one

plus that would leave time for the book discussion
