to Schwartz-Jampel Syndrome
Hello Aaron, Hello Magda...its been a while
For those that don't know me....I have a son with SJS who is 17 years
old. He is doing great with managing his symptoms. He takes
Tegeretol and does very well with it. He was diagnosed at around 18
months old. It was a scary first few years as he was sooooo sick, but
now is is better and usually only sees a doctor (neurologist) once a
year. He is about to graduate High School, he is brilliant. His name
is Chase.
Chase has all of the differences you all speak about. He is about 5'5
inches tall...weighs about 135 or 140. he eats like a pig. He gets
tired sometimes and gets more stiff. He has joint contractures in his
elbows, wrists, and knees. He use to walk on his tippy toes too.
