The MSGair switchgear is a medium voltage, metal enclosed, air-insulated device that is easy to install, maintain, and operate. It has a modular design, can be expanded from both sides, and is optimized for industrial and utility applications. With a focus on personnel safety, it has been tested to IEC 62271-200 standards and can be configured in various substation configurations.
The Substations are self-contained load centers, with metal clad 11kV circuit breaker ring main unit, a 11/0.4kV transformer and a low voltage board for distribution. The Substations come in galvanised sheet steel, with lockable doors, ventilation louvers, and a lifting base structure. Personnel safety is ensured through three separate compartments with varying IP protection degrees.
We design custom protection and control panels that meet customer requirements and use advanced relays for various applications, taking into account factors such as safety, ease of operation, maintenance, and commissioning. Our solutions offer substation automation ranging from PLC-based controls to SCADA RTU-based systems. The panels use software and hardware to control and monitor electrical power generation and distribution, and allow for remote operation and monitoring. Our solutions have been installed in substations ranging from 11kV to 132kV switchgear.
Mobile substations are compact and mounted on a trailer, offering flexibility for fast integration and easy transportation. The module includes necessary equipment for a complete substation, offering a quick and cost-effective alternative for a reliable power supply. Other benefits include maximum operator safety, minimum site work, and resistance to harsh weather conditions.
An email is being circulated where someone called Julia Borg is stating that she works at Medelec Switchgear Ltd and wants a catalogue and price list from all sorts of companies, including food manufacturers, glass producers and toy makers.
I am Julia Borg, the Purchase and Marketing Manager of Medelec Switchgear Ltd in Malta.
We are interested in buying your product. Please send us your company catalogue, more information regarding details, specification and price quotes for our discussion in our Management meeting and deciding on how to start a good business relationship with your company.
11KV gas insulated distribution switchgear(GIS) is one of the types of SF6 high-voltage isolation loop network gas insulated switchgear which is applied to medium voltage electrical distribution networks such as underground metro, airport and mall building etc.
Ring6 11KV gis switchgear is a medium voltage switchgear which adopts a fully-sealed structure, and all primary charged components are sealed in the same insulated gas chamber made of stainless steel and protected to IP67.
Both of 11KV and 33KV gas insulated switchgear belong to medium voltage switchgear, but there is a bit different between them: 11KV line is normally designed for residential zone through the distribution transformer(11kv/0.145KV), it has higher current and shorter distance than 33KV line, 33KV line normally transfer the power from one city to another which is far from residential zone, then the power is divided into 11KV segments to consumer zone.
Ring6 has been designed in multiple modules, which can be combined in different ways according to the requirements of users, and provide a variety of combinations to meet the needs of the vast majority of applications requiring ring network units.
SF6 gas insulated switchgear is widely used in the power system of small secondary substations, power substations, residential quarters, mining enterprises, large shopping malls, airports, and railways.
SF6 gas insulated switchgear has many advantages and the greatest advantage is that they are not affected by the external environment, such as condensation, contamination, small animals and chemical substances. Another advantage is that the use of SF6 compressed gas insulation is conducive to the development of miniaturization.

Switchgear for use on 66 kV to 132 kV distribution systems Part 5 Inductive voltage transformers, capacitor voltage transformers, combined unit transformers and current transformers for use on 72.5 kV to 145 kV distribution systems
This ENA TS defines technical requirements for high voltage (HV), ground mounted indoor fixed pattern type metal enclosed switchgear rated at voltages within the range 12 kV to 36 kV, for use on 11 kV, 20 kV and 33 kV systems for operation at a service frequency of 50 Hz.
NOTE: HV is specified as per the terminology used in the BS EN 62271 series of standards. Medium voltage is a term often used but has different limits in various parts of the world.
It applies to alternating current switchgear, designed for indoor installation, connected in Major 97 substations. Equipment covered by this ENA TS is for use on systems with the neutral point earthed (solidly or via an impedance).
