Short story:

Come play music for sprout in Seven Hills Park on October 3 from 6-8PM! There will be: Redbones food! Parts & Crafts activities! A giant bus with education-related exhibit installed in it! Please fill out this form if you can come!

Longer story:

Many of you who know me know I work in education with sprout, where SoH was rehearsing during its first 6mo. Well, we just won a big award from the XQ Institute and we're hosting a celebratory event because the school we've been working to start — Powderhouse Studios— is finally becoming a reality. For me, School of HONK is one of the places that I get to teach, learn, and play in a way that feels most real and alive and so, it was only natural when we wanted to have music at this event, that I would invite a group that is a manifestation of the educational (and social) values I hold dear in my "day job" too =) We are making a donation to School of HONK and would love to have a crew of whomever can make it join to play music hopefully bring a few extra horns to recruit new members from the audience as well. I am hoping everyone will get free Redbones dinner, but will follow up with those details when I know for sure =)
