Farm Living Experience at Commonweal Garden ~

July 1 - Sept. 30
Applications due June 12

We have summer openings to come live at our blooming permaculture farm in Bolinas. 

The Garden hosts a wide range of educational programs and
grows vegetables, medicine and dye plants, fruit,
nuts, and produces milk, cheese and honey. 
 


 

Tending and milking goats - making cheese, yogurt, and keifer

Tending Bees - with 6 Langstroth and 5 Kenyon top bar hives
 

Food forest maintenance - apples, pears, plums, cherries, olives,
walnuts, chestnuts, peaches, nectarines, pluots, plumcots,
apriums, mulberries, raspberries, blackberries, boysenberries,
strawberries, currants, lemons, and limes

Harvesting and food preservation

Chop and drop, sheet mulching, irrigation maintentance

Hosting guests - supporting permaculture, leadership, and
eco-literacy programs, including garden tours.
 

The three month program begins July 1, 2013 and participants will be
living in community with garden ambassadors Penny Livingston-Stark
and James Stark of the Regenerative Design Institute.
