Happy to inform you all that I have been joined as Associate Professor of Psychiatric Social Work in the Department of Psychiatry, SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, SRM University, Kattankulathur.  I hope all of you are aware about the SRM University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu State.

 

It has got a very huge campus and a self sufficient and excellent academic institution.  In this university we have a Post Graduate Medical College with quiet a good number of international students.

 

In SRM University, we have Post Graduate Course in Psychiatry as well as in Clinical Psychology.  So the Department of Psychiatry in SRM University has got all types of cases with full fledged and experienced faculty. 

 

All these things are very much essential and create an atmosphere for acquiring knowledge as well as excellence in the field of Mental Health.

 

Now we are in the process of starting M.Phil. Psychiatric Social Work course at the earliest.

 

The Post Graduate students who study and undergo M.A. Social Work (Medical & Psychiatry) has to undergo Block Placement Training for one month.  Hence we can provide and extend the services for the M.A. Social Work students for that Block Placement Training in our department from March, 2016.

 

So, any of your students who are willing to undergo the Block Placement Training in our Department (Department of Psychiatry, SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, SRM University, Potheri, Kattankulathur) may be referred to us.

 

Our Department as well as Our University will be able to provide great academic environment and skills in our field of Psychiatric Social Work.
