Hi Everyone!

I am working to investigate how we could purchase and prepare local sweet corn in our school kitchens as part of the reimbursable meal.  Has anyone done this before?  We are a suburban school district with an enrollment of about 13,500 kids, so scale often becomes a challenge for us.

Any tips, Standard Operating Procedures, or resources would be appreciated! :)

Thank you!

It sounds like a great Farm-to-School question!  I am not in Iowa, so hopefully someone else on the list is and can advise, but you might try the state Farm-to-School folks if you do not hear from anyone here:

Sounds delicious!  Good luck!
