Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center in Carnation, Washington is hiring seasonal farm educator/camp instructors! One FAQ I can address right now is that we, unfortunately, do NOT have onsite housing and we are not located on public transportation routes, so having a car or a strong determination to bike commute is required.

POSITION DETAILS

The Summer Camp Instructor position is Full-Time (average of 40 hours per week).  The preferred starting date for this position is June 15th, 2022 with the position ending September 2, 2022 (there is a possibility of one of the positions being extended through November 11, to support fall environmental education programming.) The work schedule is primarily Monday-Friday with rare weekend work. Camp instructors must be available to work all training and camp weeks, see details below.

Priority program dates for the Summer 2022 season (staffing needs are most critical for these periods):

  • Staff training: June 15-24
  • Camp Session 1: June 27- July 1
  • Camp Session 2: July 5-8
  • Camp Session 3: July 18-22
  • Camp Session 4: July 25-29
  • Camp Session 5: Aug. 8-12
  • Camp Session 6: Aug. 15-19

 

COMPENSATION

This is a seasonal, full-time position, paying $18 per hour, with some paid time-off
