With kids starting a school year marked by the Delta variant, outdoor education is one of the best tools we have to slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep learning safe, engaging, and fun.
We’re excited to announce our second round of funding for Big Green Jumpstart, a rapid grant program created to accelerate outdoor learning is now open! Educators all across America can apply for $2,000 grants to leverage their school garden to get kids outside.
Educators who meet the following guidelines are encouraged to attend the Big Green Jumpstart webinar for more details:
IF...
- If you work in a school and have the support of your building principal or administrator. The primary applicant needs to be a school staff member or educator.
- You are committed to outdoor learning this fall.
- Your school currently has a garden.
- The percentage of students at your school receiving Free and Reduced Lunch is at or above 65%.
- Your school is able to receive and utilize funds according to guidelines by Nov 19, 2021.
- You are able to attend two live webinars and complete two on-demand mini-courses to build your skills in outdoor education and share your knowledge with your peers.
- You believe in outdoor education and want to be a part of a community advancing the conversation about outdoor education.
...then you are eligible to apply for a Big Green Jumpstart grant to accelerate outdoor learning!
