Popping in to share about GeoGardenClub, a new(ish) garden management and community building technology. I created GGC from over a decade in garden education and even longer as an avid home gardener. It is designed for home, school, and community gardeners and provides features for garden planning, collaborative task management, and sharing of information and resources like seeds, harvests, materials, and tools.
Our mission is to strengthen community food resilience by helping gardeners connect, learn, and share with each other. Gardeners are grouped into local chapters based on zip code. Garden plans are all part of a public, hyperlocal directory that gardeners can browse and copy from, which I see as an awesome way for garden educators to teach the community on the best crops and varieties for their location. Garden educators can further connect with their local community through observations and the chapter forum.
We offer GGC free forever for garden education organizations because garden education core to our mission. For the general public, we are offering the first three months free, then it converts into a paid subscription ($4.99/month or $44.99/year).
I'm participating in a webinar on October 3 as part of Food Waste Prevention Week to share how GGC can help reduce waste through its planning and sharing tools. I'd also be happy to set up a private demo to discuss how it could support your specific programming needs - je...@geogardenclub.com.
Warmly,
