Lauren Newman, Youth Entrepreneurship Cooperative Manager, and Willa Pohlman, Director of Programming and Trainings at City Blossoms. City Blossoms is a DC based nonprofit that fosters healthy communities through innovative, community engaging programming and green spaces. City Blossoms supports schools pre-k through high school through five main program areas including the Youth Entrepreneurship Cooperative program. City Blossoms has nearly a decade of experience working with youth in greenhouses and recently worked with the United States Botanic Garden and the National Center for Appropriate Technology to produce a greenhouse manual for educators.
Jadyn Turner and Breyana Brooks are Youth Staff cooperative members from Mighty Greens, a youth led, garden-based entrepreneurship project. The cooperative members of Mighty Greens use their high school gardens and greenhouses as spaces to learn how to care for plants and produce while growing their business.
