Hello colleagues,

I am wondering for those of you who have a weather station in your gardens how you made that happen? Was there a particular group/source of funding you called on/used to build and install it?

Thanks for any info!

Hi Rebekka, we recently installed two weather stations and are loving the addition to our outdoor classrooms. Here is the info on how we funded them...I work for OKC Beautiful which is a non profit that runs a school garden support program called OKC Harvest. OKC Beautiful also has a teen board, and one of our teen board members was selected to be on the national teen board of Keep America Beautiful. Through her participation in the KAB national teen board, she received a Lowe's gift card to do a community project. She collaborated with OKC Harvest to use those funds to pay for weather station materials. We were able to meet her in the middle to pay a local carpenter for the construction.

Hi Rebekka,

You can read about the weather station we have set up in various schools. This page includes a video describing how to record data at the station, how to build it, where to find materials, downloads to recording logs, and additional links to other student weather station information.
