Hi all,

I am wondering what your favorite food waste lessons are for 3rd graders to teach in a classroom or garden setting?

Thank you!

Hi Sarah,
One Cool Earth has a more involved Zero Waste program for schools with lots of resources to help start a Green Team: https://www.onecoolearth.org/zero-waste.html

We have a number of lesson plans and video lessons here too: https://www.onecoolearth.org/educator-resources.html

The Garbology lesson in our Series 3 on the curriculum page is a favorite--it involves watching different items decompose in an enclosed container over time.

Cheers!

Thank you, I haven't seen these resources before and they are great!
