In the coming months, I am looking to connect with other organizations who have their own on-site garden space where they host students for field trips (whether one-off trips or recurring visits).
Over the next 1-2 years, Seed St. Louis will be building a new demonstration garden, and I am in the early stages of developing programming plans for the new site. We know we want to host students at the site, but we still have a lot to figure out in terms of logistics- especially with transportation and scheduling/ communicating with schools. I would love to talk to other orgs who are doing something similar to hear how you navigated these logistics and more, so that things run smoothly.
If you currently have a garden site that hosts students and/or partners with local schools to visit, and you would be willing to have a short Zoom meeting with me sometime between now and the fall, please drop me a line or send me an email with your availability! My best days in the spring are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, but I will have availability most days of the week over summer as well.
