Wednesday, October 20th the University of Arizona Community and School Garden Program and Tucson Unified School District will be live streaming one of our monthly workshops at 3:30pm PST. The workshop will be presented by local knowledge holders on the cempasuchil (marigolds) in preparation for Dia De Los Muertos. Marigolds have long been a school garden favorite for ease of growing, seed saving, pest control and medicinal properties. And during the month of October marigolds add a layer of cultural relevance for those living in Mexican American communities.
If you are interested in attending, please RSVP here for the 3:30 PST remote session. A Zoom link will be sent out before the workshop.
We hope to see you there!
