Dear all -
The KAUST School is an amazing international school located in Saudi Arabia. It offers the PYP, MYP, and IBDP program to students age 3-18 from 75 different countries. We are a K-12 co-educational school where English is the language of instruction and we support the efforts of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. We are implementing a school garden program on both our Kindergarten campus for roughly 500 students ages 3-5 and our Elementary and Secondary Campus for roughly 1200 students. The Job Description is attached. This is a full-time educator position with an exceptional salary and benefits package. It is an opportunity to truly be a part of ground-breaking research on desert agriculture while also engaging with young students and curriculum development related to sustainability and garden education. I encourage anyone with a passion for adventure, sustainability, garden education, and edible education to apply. The role will begin August 2022, but interviews are taking place now.
Applicants can email me directly - dire...@thekaustschool.org.

Warm regards-
Michelle

just wondering is the research related to or something akin to the al baydha project?

anyway thought I'd bring up the the al baydha project because IMHO it is a great example of a large scale native "garden"

A study in San Diego asked if people could identify the scientific reason why climate change is happening

The findings sadly no one could correctly answer the question

Great Question -
The research is related to the work in the Center for Desert Agriculture, at KAUST university which can be found here: https://cda.kaust.edu.sa/
and the Plant Sciences division which is linked here: https://bese.kaust.edu.sa/faculty-research/rt-plant-science

The university is supporting the K-12 garden initiative at The KAUST School and we are excited to be a part of this collaborative effort.

Regards-
Michelle
