Join us on June 4th for a School Garden Mentorship workshop that shares ways to celebrate your garden with students and staff to build positive rapport and support for the garden. June is a busy time, and we will share suggestions for tying garden celebrations into end-of-year events that are already on the go! Shauna Anderson, Garden Coordinator at Galiano Community School

Shauna Anderson has been the School Garden Coordinator at Galiano Island Community School (SD64) since early February 2022. The garden coordinator role is maintained via the community organization Galiano Community Food Program, which works to promote growing local food and access to food via several programs and initiatives. With a background in fine arts, nature education and a strong interest in local biodiversity, Shauna incorporates these fields into her current work to create dynamic programming for students.
