Hello school gardeners,
April showers have brought May flowers! I hope you are all enjoying this glorious weather!
It was great seeing some of you at our workshop this week on
summer maintenance and volunteer engagement. If you missed it, the recording, slide presentation and resources are on the Program Library page on the F2SBC website:
https://farmtoschoolbc.ca/sgm-program-library/
We had two great guest speakers join us in our workshop this week: Vanessa Sparrow, Powell River School District Food Literacy Coordinator, and Roanne Whitticase, F2SBC Community Animator and Master Gardener. They both shared on-the-ground suggestions for engaging volunteers in school gardens. Check out the recording of the webinar to learn about their creative suggestions for building community connections and summer maintenance support for your school garden.
Enjoy the sunny weekend ahead!
