Dear competitors,

The January deadline is now just over three months away, but waiting until the last minute to submit your article and get it approved means less time to accumulate votes!

Currently, the front-runner (Frontal-eye-field) has 44 +1s. If you believe you might be able to get more, then the top prize (and glory!) could be yours.

Plus, remember that a peer-reviewed article in Scholarpedia (unlike in other closed access journals) ...
  • is publicly and freely available to all people in perpetuity
  • is highly ranked in Google search results (try searching for "frontal eye field")
  • provides the public with accurate, authoritative information on a topic of importance to you
  • never needs to be written again as the field changes, because the article can be revised post-publication

Hello,

Me and Tim O'Leary from Eve Marder's lab are interested in writing this article - http://www.scholarpedia.org/article/Homeostatic_plasticity - which Eve was invited to write a long time ago, but has never gotten around to it. Would we be eligible for this contest?

Thanks,

-- Alex

Hi Alex,

Yes, Marder's work appears to be sufficiently computational.

Hi Leo,

Thanks for the response. Should we propose our article as a new article as stated in the contest rules - or is it fine to just load the article on the page that Eve hasn't gotten around to (i.e. - http://www.scholarpedia.org/article/Homeostatic_plasticity).

Thanks!

Hi Alex,

You can use the stub for the existing article.
