由于9月13日中午佐治亚理工校园有橄榄球赛,我们不得不推迟原定于中午学者之友系列讲座至晚间6-8:30PM,将在6点整提供晚餐,欢迎大家准时参加!

该变化如造成不便,请谅解!

Dear All,

The time of next scholar forum on Sept. 13th has to be changed from noon time to the evening 6-8:30PM, due to the schedule conflict with GT football game. We will provide diner at 6PM. 

Sorry for any inconvenience caused by the time change and we hope you understand!

More Information about the Speaker

Dr. WenZhan Song is a Professor of Computer Science and Director of
Sensorweb Research Lab at Georgia State University. He is a recipient
of Outstanding Research Contribution Award (2012) in GSU Computer
Science, Chancellor Research Excellence Award (2010) in WSU Vancouver
and NSF CAREER Award (2010). His research mainly focuses on sensor web
(for geophysical imaging), smart grid and mobile health where sensing,
computing, communication and control play a critical role and need a
transformative study. Dr. Song’s research has received $7 million+
research funding from NSF, NASA, USGS, Boeing and etc since 2005, and
has been featured in MIT Technology Review, Network World, Scientific
America, New Scientist, National Geographic, etc. Dr. Song serves the
editorial board of several premium journals including IEEE Transaction
on Parallel and Distributed Systems. Dr. Song was a recipient of 2004
National Outstanding Oversea Student Scholarship, awarded by Ministry
of Education of China (only 40 awarded in USA) during his PhD study
2001-2005. Before that, he worked in industry as a software engineer
and team leader in Shanghai Bell during 1999-2001.
