This module was created around Kidlink's 4 questions for kids. It is a very enjoyable way of getting children to know themselves better while meeting new friends in their on line activities. Many areas of learning are covered in this lessons. Look through all of them, subscribe and join the fun!
In the first lesson the students will start to know more about themselves and who they are. They will learn more about their own history by studying the significance and traditions behind their names. They will introduce themselves to the other students participating in the project on line and will share the interesting stories about the meaning and use of names in their different countries. They will find out about each other's favorite music and dances.
In the second lesson the students will get a little bit farther into the process of knowing themselves and their on line friends better. They find out about the different options there are for their future in their respective countries and communities. They will learn about careers and opportunities and what characteristics a person should have to perform certain jobs. They will tell each other about their favorite occupations. The students will form an on line committee to select the best candidates for certain positions. They will choose some students to interview others and obtain a first hand experience in "job hunting".
During the third lesson students will develop their ideas for a better world. They look around themselves to see what they like and dislike about the situation of their communities. They share with each other and their on line friends their ideas of a better world. They learn about the dreams and worries of children in other communities and other countries.
In weeks 7 and 8 we will have a group of students that are familiar with the experience of a global classroom. They will have new friends all over the world. They will think of ways to keep in touch. During the last two weeks students will share the necessity of a "global wellness". In this lesson they will form their ideas of a serious compromise. They will find ways to help make a better world starting now.
At the end of each lesson kids will answer the question discussed in that lesson. At the end of the 8 weeks your students will send their answers to RESPONSE.
We know you and your students will have a lovely eight weeks! We will also be there for you to help answer any questions. The "Who Am I" module: http://www.kidlink.org/kie/nls/english/response/
