My experience: I have tried to play some songs in iTunes. I can click on a song, the song will appear above. The 'Play' button will appear as the 'Pause' button. However, the timer is on, and showing 0:00. There is no progress of the timer, as if iTunes were 'stuck'. (The time remaining remains at the length of the song.) Toggling the Pause and Play buttons works, but doesn't start the track playing.
Everything else in iTunes 12.7.5.9 appears to be working. I can select any song. I can sort Playlists. I can select other Playlists. I can Sync my iPhone. (Smart Playlists also work as they should. Using Plays, Last Played, etc.) I can edit Song Info.
About a month ago, iTunes would no longer play (i.e. Stuck on 0:00 time) my tracks/songs. I had not done anything to my laptop. iTunes just stopped. I just updated to the latest version of iTunes, before posting this question. So, I was able to have my ripped CD music, as MP3s, on my external hard drive, play on my laptop. (I can still play my MP3s in Windows Media Player, but can not manage them very well in Windows Media Player. [acknowledged: Windows Media Player is not designed for management and syncing of music.]) I can also navigate, in Windows, my external drive. iTunes will still sync tracks onto my iPhone, without a problem. Play Counts will still increase with the sync. (Therefore, I think that there is no problem with the connection of laptop to drive. Nor is there a problem, with iTunes 'seeing' my music on my external drive.)
I think I may be a little hesitant to do the iTunes tear down. I've got thousands of songs (17,000+) in many playlists. I'd really hate to lose all that work. (Various songs in various playlists. Play Counts - which I use in my Smart Playlists. Last Played - which I use in my Smart Playlists. Ratings - which I use in my Smart Playlists. And Smart Playlists - which I use in other Smart Playlists.) Again, I would hate to lose all the data. It does appear that that 2nd box is very thorough in describing the tear down and rebuild. (And is very detailed. I'll note that it's nice to know that QuickTime can be removed.)
I then went to the internal drive (Users//music/iTunes), and found the iTunes Library.itl file. There was no iTunes Library.xml file. But there was an iTunes Music Library.xml file. Then I removed the iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library.xml files. When I restarted iTunes, it was all blank. (Kind of the 'Welcome to iTunes' mode/feel.) No tracks, no playlists, a blank/empty slate as it were. So there were no tracks to play. I then restored/returned the (2) files back to the iTunes folder, and all was well. The tracks/songs, ratings, and playlists are all back. And, still, whenever I play a track it will be stuck at 0:00.
There are no limits to how many songs Windows Media Player can candle. However, if your music library is extremely large, your PC's speed and power will affect Windows Media Player's performance. Too many songs can create a negative performance if your PC can't handle the demands.
You can download songs from Internet platforms, including Amazon Music and more. A lot of online streaming providers advertise a download function, but this is only to download within their specific app so that you can listen offline.
Amazon Music also has a membership platform for streaming, so you can choose to pay a monthly fee for access to all the songs, but these are not downloadable within this plan, so you will have to buy the songs separately if you want to transfer them onto a flash drive or a thumb drive.
Instead, within the Apple Music app, you can now navigate to the iTunes store, where you can find and download individual songs or full albums. You also have to spend money on each individual download, unlike the Apple Music plans that give you unlimited streams of songs.
Check the space on the drive. If you have tried to transfer songs, and they have not moved onto the USB drive, it could be because of a lack of space. Check there is enough room for the files you want to download.
Spotify Premium users can download Spotify songs offline, but only within the specific Spotify app, which means that the files are protected and linked to the app. There is no way to transfer them and move them from one location to another.
same here, ive been looking up fixes for about a week now yet nothing has worked!!! its every single playlist too, if a song on the actual playlist including daily mixes ends itll start playing a random song that isnt on it and i dont know what to do.
It's possible you have some other playlist or songs in the queue ready to start playing. So, if your account is Premium, we'd recommend you check if there's something on the queue to play next. If yes, you can clear the queue, you first have to locate it by following the steps in this article. Then you can hit the Clear queue button to see if you notice any difference.
This is still happening in 2023. They don't care if they fix anything for their own customers. They have had plenty of time. I can't play any playlist on random,. I have to hit Enhance which means playing songs I do NOT want to hear. Control, control. control. The next company to come out who allows freedom for its users, unlike Spotify, will be the next HUGE thing. I know I'll jump on it.

"Steamy Windows" is a song by American-Swiss singer Tina Turner. It was included on Turner's seventh studio album, Foreign Affair (1989), and released as the album's second single in November 1989. In the United Kingdom, it was instead issued as the third single on February 5, 1990. It was written by Tony Joe White and produced by Dan Hartman. It became a top ten hit in Belgium, Ireland and Italy, while reaching the top forty on the majority of all charts it appeared on.
David Giles from Music Week wrote, "Delightfully risqué number that finds Turner's trad blues vocal neatly complemented by a spruced-up country-style rhythm with plenty of harmonica and mischievous guitar runs." He added further, "I was thinking 'bout parking the other night", "runs the lyric. The thought doesn't last long, though, as the windows are soon moist with "body heat". What can they be up to in there?"[6] People Magazine found that Turner "sounds as passionate and expressive as ever", describing the song as "a contagious piece of funk rock". The reviewer added, "But why would a 49-year-old woman sing about necking in the back seat of a car?"[7] USA Today viewed it as "spicy".[8] John Mackie from The Vancouver Sun called it "a sultry little ditty about back seat hijinks".[9]
