Our Arcus M, now ten years old, has a gear door which opens when we thermal, confirmed by others in the gaggle. It creates a lot of distracting noise in the cockpit and additional drag

Have anyone else experienced this problem ? Any suggestions on how to fix ? Sronger bungee cord ? Replace springs ?

Any replies and suggestions are most welcome.

I experienced the same issue. Fix was stronger (duplicated) bungee cords. Drawback is the ground clearance of gear door in gear down configuration is not optimum.

Same here, in our case the rubber just aged. We substituted with a new and stronger one.
