Hello all,

I've posted the minutes from today's meeting:

https://codeberg.org/scheme/r7rs/wiki/Minutes+2026-07-28.-

As I said at the end of the meeting, I wouldn't be willing to try to
summarize the views people expressed here. Thus I have posted only the
log, without the usual digest.

Regards,

Wolfgang

As I said in IRC, the draft group response I put together is at:

https://codeberg.org/scheme/r7rs/wiki/Group-response-to-%22Chairship-of-WG2%22

I applied a few grammatical improvements suggested by identity, but I've
not had any requests for any major changes, so I guess now everyone who
agrees with the principle should sign it - I'll send it to the SSC next
Tuesday, a week after we started, so everyone's had a chance to think?

I don't want to leave it any longer than that. Strike while the iron is
hot and so on!

Thanks,

Yes, I think that will be good. The quicker we move the less time we
spend in limbo.

I will not be signing this as I have my own letter with recommendations
on how to structure things so that we don't have this happen again,
although I don't want to pre-empt the group letter by sending it beforehand.
