Hi,

I propose that, unless there are any substantive objections by Sunday 4 January, I will extend all deadlines for the SC election by one month.

So after the extension, registration and nomination will close on 15 February, voting will open on 1 March and close on 15 March, and a result by the end of March.

The reason is that I haven’t done nearly enough to drum up registrations, and the independent overseer hasn’t had time to collect candidate statements. So while we have some submitted nominations, as of now there are no definite candidates; and we have only a handful of registered voters. (Even I haven’t finished writing my own registration yet.) Since candidates have to have sufficient time to write their statements, an extension seems the wisest option.

I’m sorry about this; my attention has been too focussed on other things.

Can you resend the original message so we know how and what is being asked for registration?
